Whether your company sponsors group health plans, supplies administrative services, or provides compliance advice, this 90-minute web seminar will introduce these other group health plan mandates and help your rookies understand the rules.

  • Required Coverage. What qualified medical child support order (QMSCO) coverage is required? What about coverage for adopted children or for college students on medically necessary leaves of absence?
  • Mandated Benefits. What are the parity requirements for mental health benefits? Must benefits be provided for mastectomy? For hospital stays for newborns and mothers?
  • Benefits During Leaves of Absence. How should coverage be handled when an employee takes FMLA leave? What happens to coverage during uniformed services leave?
  • Nondiscrimination Rules. Can plans treat participants differently on the basis of age, disability, or pregnancy? May contraceptives be excluded? What is the impact of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA)?
