Final Caf Regs No Longer Expected in July
Final cafeteria plans are still on our radar, but at this point they are not expected to be released in July 2009.

Last month, we had heard that IRS was close to publishing the final cafeteria plan regulations and might release them in early July. However, our understanding now is not to expect the regulations in July and probably not this summer either. Of course, when the regulations are released, EBIA will be ready with the analysis you need! We’ll announce our web seminars and take registrations at that time. We’ll also cover the regulations in the EBIA Weekly and in the quarterly updates to our Cafeteria Plans manual.
