EBIA Develops List of Qualifying OTC Products

For years, its popular online Health Care Expenses Table has been helping employers and TPAs determine what expenses qualify.
New Product! Now EBIA offers an industry-standard list of over 3,500 products that can be purchased over-the-counter (OTC) (that is, without a prescription) and that are qualifying expenses for health FSAs, HRAs, and HSAs.

EBIA’s new OTC list is now available for licensing by merchants and TPAs.
- Merchants who license the list may use it to flag qualifying products on customer receipts or for inclusion in an electronic payment card program to auto-substantiate qualifying OTC purchases.
- TPAs of health FSAs and HRAs who license the list may use it to assist them in processing claims for reimbursement of OTC products.
