Katherine J. Alexander (since 2006). Ms. Alexander is Senior Director, Benefits Publications at EBIA. Before joining EBIA, she practiced law for 19 years, primarily in the employee benefits area. She was a partner in the Seattle law firm of Ryan, Swanson & Cleveland. Ms. Alexander received her law degree in 1984 from the University of Washington, where she was a member of the editorial staff of the Washington Law Review.

Cheryl Risley Hughes (since 2006). Ms. Hughes is a principal with Sanders, Schnabel & Brandenburg, P.C., an employee benefits law firm located in Washington, D.C. Ms. Hughes serves on ECFC’s Technical Advisory Committee. She has an L.L.M. degree in Taxation and a Certificate of Study in Employee Benefits Law from Georgetown University Law Center and graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1995.
