Editor/Contributing Author

Diane L. Baldwin (since 2002). Ms. Baldwin is a Senior Editor at Thomson Reuters/EBIA. Ms. Baldwin has practiced employee benefits law for more than twenty years in the Minneapolis area, as counsel for multi-national corporations. She taught employee benefits as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law, graduated cum laude in 1986 from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and was an editor for the Wisconsin Law Review.

Contributing Authors

Stuart C. Harris (since 1994). Mr. Harris is a partner in the Portland office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Mr. Harris represents employers, association plans, insurers, and service providers in connection with the design, structure, and interpretation of retirement, welfare benefit plans, and deferred compensation arrangements. He received his J.D. degree cum laude in 1986 from Cornell Law School.


Kurt E. Linsenmayer (since 1998). Mr. Linsenmayer is a partner in the Seattle office of Perkins Coie LLP, the largest law firm in the Pacific Northwest. He specializes in helping employers with their compensation and benefit arrangements, including 401(k) plan design and administration. He received his J.D. degree in 1989 from Seattle University School of Law.


Cynthia A. Van Bogaert (since 2000). Ms. Van Bogaert is a partner in the Boardman Law Firm LLP of Madison, Wisconsin. She advises employers regarding 401(k) plans and other employee benefits. She is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, served as National President of the Worldwide Employee Benefits (WEB) Network, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1982.


John W. Haine (since 2004). Mr. Haine is a Senior Editor at Thomson Reuters/EBIA. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters/EBIA, he practiced employee benefits law for more than 20 years, most recently as a shareholder at Kelly, Hannaford & Battles, P.A., and before that as a Special Partner at the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1983.

Contributor

Craig R. Pett (since 1999). Mr. Pett is a partner in the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird LLP, where he specializes in assisting clients identify and correct 401(k) plan compliance errors. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor teaching Employee Benefits at Emory Law School. Mr. Pett graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University Law School in 1985.
